School Council

Welcome to the Hexham First School Council Page
Congratulations to our newly elected members of the School Council
Year 1 - Grace and Teddy
Year 2- Ida and Finlay
Year 3 - Tabatha and Bobby
Year 4 - Sophie and Calvin
We hold our meetings at least every three weeks with Miss Noon in the Year 3 classroom.
What is the School Council
Our school council represents the views of all the pupils. It gives the children the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part of the school community.
Our school council helps us to make changes and to make our school a nicer place.
What do the School Council do?
They hold regular meetings and talk about ways they can improve the school. They share the meetings with their classmates and in turn bring the suggestions of the class to the next meeting.
Election Process
In September each class from Year 2 to Year 4 holds an election to choose two children to be members of the School Council.
What the school council has done this year.
  • We have updated our playground rules.
  • We went to the whole school Assembly to talk about the new rules.
