Welcome to the website for Hexham First School.  We are a small, friendly primary school in Hexham. We pride ourselves on knowing our children and their families really well.  This means that we are able to nurture our children as they develop, both as learners and people.  We want learning to be inspiring, challenging, engaging and fun.

We are very proud of our Ofsted Inspection in 2022. Our wonderful school was judged to be a good school, we think the following comments from Ofsted really reflect our school.

“Pupils like coming to this school. They are happy in lessons and enjoy learning. Playtimes and lunchtimes are friendly and sociable. Pupils can choose from a wide range of active or quiet activities. Pupils feel safe because they know that the staff care about their welfare.”
