We were last insepcted in June 2026.
We are very proud that the inspectors recognised that our children feel happy and safe in school and that they respond well to the caring and supportive relationships they have with staff. They noted that our Curriculum design is clear and well structured so that pupils learn more over time and that leaders are ambitious about the curriculum and teaching.
Currently, in education there is a significant emphasis on developing foundational skills for pupils in school, from pencil grip, to letter formation, to spelling and maths fluency. The inspectors recognised that our pupils are making good progress in national tests, such as the Year 1 Phonics Check and Year 4 maths check, but they felt that a minority of children are not catching up as quickly as they would like. They also felt a minority of children had gaps in their learning. As a staff team, this is something we had already identified and begun to work on. Ofsted noted, “Leaders have quickly established a clear understanding of the school’s strengths and identified clear priority actions for improvement. Some of this work has already started and is having a positive impact. Leaders know what to do next. They are
committed to making decisions in the best interests of their pupils.”
